Itinerary
We meet our Tour Manager and fellow travellers this morning at London St Pancras, ready to board the Eurostar to Brussels. Travelling in Standard Premier Class, we enjoy a light meal in our seats as we dash through northern France and into Belgium. Our journey continues in First Class from Brussels to Frankfurt, arriving in the early evening.
This bustling city on the Main River is one of the most important in Germany. Perhaps surprisingly for a global financial and business hub, its medieval Old Town retains a quaint atmosphere. The centrepiece is the historic Römer, a triple-fronted building with distinctive crow-stepped gables that has acted as the city hall for more than 600 years. In Römerberg square itself, there is a fountain in the middle surrounded by a huddle of colourful half-timbered buildings and the small, medieval Old Nicholas Church.
After checking in to our hotel near the city's main shopping streets, we get to know one another during a three-course dinner this evening.
*For the departure on 02/05/25 will stay in Nuremberg instead of Frankfurt

The tour manager was excellent so were the hotels and rail travel. A very social group so lots of fun. Most of the tours were excellent 1 was a little to long in the heat. Meals provided were generally very good 2 were quite mediocre.

Prague is the best city. The other 2 are ok, especially Berlin. Our guide took us to a monument and then talked about homosexuality in the German Army
